Another MTB photo

This is a great angled shot of me on Bukit Kiara in Malaysia. This tree had been down for about 6 months on a trail called 4k. The tree was too big to move and made that section of trail impassable. Riders had to dismount and duck under the tree with their bikes.
I had looked at it over and over wondering what to do with it. Even contemplating digging out the ground to create a bombhole so people could ride under it.

In the end Pat (Brunsdon - master trailbuilder on Kiara) just made two skinnies and nailed them to the tree. Genius! The skinny off of the tree isn't in line with the skinny onto it so you have to do a slight turn on the log, just on the apex. A classic Pat hallmark, just to keep us awake.

Alas I only rode this section a few times for the photoshoot. Oh well I'll just have to build something similar here in the Philippines.
